Free Battery Testing |

The Free Battery Test has been temporarily discontinued until further notice because we are
receiving an overwhelming volume of batteries to test.
We will test your
Skil and Bosch power tool batteries for Free. We will print out and send
you a report on the state of your batteries.
We can test it, recondition it and ship
it back to you the same day in most cases. That's assuming that we can
contact you right away.
This can save you money in the cost of
buying a new battery. Especially if you find your charger was "burned out" as a result of the bad battery. |

What the test includes:
The test will include the State of Health
of your battery (0-100%) which is a measurement of the batteries charge
capacity. A new battery would be 100%.
It will also include a graph of the
voltage during a constant current discharge.

Battery Reconditioning

If we find that a battery is bad we can
recondition it to almost new status. This way you can get twice the life
out of your battery. This is a procedure that is performed by
specialized equipment that deeply discharges the battery at a controlled
rate. The controlled rate keeps from damaging the battery.
In effect what this does is breaks
down the crystallized cells that have formed on the plates which causes the loss of
battery capacity.
In some cases this crystal formation can build up and pierce through the insulinting material and cause a short. If we find evidence of this we may be able to rejuvenate the battery and recondition it.
Battery Rejuvenation is an additional $7.50.

How to get your NiCd and
NiMh batteries tested: |

- Request a Free Battery Test by
clicking on "Place in Cart" below. Notice
that the price is $0.00.
- Select how many batteries that you want
tested by changing the number in the "Quantity"
field and then press "update".
- Fill out "Ship to", Credit
Card info and "billing address" as normal and
complete the process until it says "Order Sent".
- Pack and ship (pre-paid) your battery
or batteries to:

- When we finish testing we will contact
you with the results. At that point you can decide what you would would
like to do:
- Whether you want to recondition
your battery or batteries for $15 each.
- Or replace your battery or
batteries and/or charger*.
- When you check out it will show $5 for shipping. This is for return shipping. We will charge a reasonable rate for Return shipping - what we pay. It's based on weight and your zipcode. We will tell you much it will be when we contact you.
Note: Not every battery can be
reconditioned but most can. We will let you know when we contact you.
Expedite Your Test
We are about 4 weeks behind on testing batteries. If you would like to expedite your testing and have it tested within one week, we can for an additional $5 per order. Just select "Expedite" in the Priority drop down menu below.
